DESCRIPTION: The new tagging and retagging (former change of affiliate) process comes with some requirements.
RESOLUTION STEPS:
Tagging.
This means the client is not tagged to any affiliate and wants to be tagged for the first time. Regardless of when the account was created, internal checks are required.
The client is required to provide an affiliate link from the affiliate that starts with "https://track.deriv.com/..."
Retagging.
This means the client is already tagged to an affiliate but now wants to retag the account to a different affiliate. This was formerly referred to as a change of an affiliate.
The following are required in this process:
1) Written consent from the client
2) Precise and valid reason as to why the client needs to be retagged
3) Proof of communication between the client and the affiliate showing the affiliate link and affiliate's contact details, for example, username, first name, email address, or phone number
Note:
1) Tagging/Retagging is done only once
2) Retagging is only available for clients who are inactive for 90 days with no deposit and trading activity.
3) Based on the request and account's creation date, some requests take 3-5 working days while others can be resolved only towards the end of the month.
